In today’s business world companies require information on which to base their business decisions. The Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst provides this information by collecting data from multiple sources to develop reports used to analyse information. The program provides full coverage of Microsoft Business Intelligence Technology Stack and engineering fundamentals including SDLC, Project implementation Methodologies such as Waterfall, Incremental/Agile methodologies, and programming languages, C#/Java with OOA/OOP design patterns and principles as well as an understanding of others database solutions including Oracle Database and related ETL tools.
Upon completion of the program the student will be able to develop Business Intelligence presentations such as reporting, business KPI, Dashboard and Visualization with Microsoft BI technical stacks; install and manage Microsoft SQL Server; implement Data Modelling for Databases; design and model OLTP and OLAP Data Process Model; develop complex SQL Query and Stored Procedure based on Microsoft SQL Server; process non-structure data with Hadoop and HDFS technology; debug and troubleshoot system problems and issues and resolve issues and write technical proposals, technical requirements and solution designs.

Admission Requirements
- An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or
- Students are 18 years of age or older and pass a Superintendent approved qualifying test

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for aggregating data from multiple sources in an efficient data warehouse and for designing enterprise-level solutions for very large multidimensional databases. *Database analysts design, develop and administer data management solutions using database management software. Data administrators develop and implement data administration policy, standards and models.
