The Industrial Electrician (PLC & Robotics) Diploma program is designed to provide our students with the knowledge and tools required to work in the field of industrial automation and control. Supported by computers to interface with the systems and equipment, students are introduced to the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) of OMRON, Allen Bradley and SIEMENS programming systems, and Robotics hardware.
Students will also learn electrical basics, applicable Electrical Codes and use AutoCAD to create electrical drawings. Upon graduation, the student will be able to read and create electrical drawings, design, install, and maintain electronic equipment used in modern industrial processes, and work on every type of programming system, from the simplest fuses and motors to sophisticated electronic computer interface boards, motor drives, programmable logic controllers, solid-state devices and robotics.

Admission Requirements
- An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or
- Students are 18 years of age or older and pass a Superintendent approved qualifying test
Industrial electricians install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. Industrial electricians also build, program, integrate, service, maintain and operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) .
